Christopher Capaldo was born in St. Petersburg, Florida. While attending Florida State University as an undergraduate, he was a member of the Vestry at the Episcopal Chapel of the Resurrection, and the FSU College Chapter of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew. He was also Youth Director for St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Quincy, Florida.

Chris attended seminary at The School of Theology at The University of the South, in Sewanee, Tennessee.  He was the Resident Seminarian at St. Agnes, Cowan, Tn, and worked at the Society for the Propagation of Christian Knowledge (SPCK).

After graduating from Sewanee, Chris was ordained to the Diaconate in 2013, and to the Priesthood in 2014 in the Diocese of Florida. He was assigned as the Curate to St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Fernandina Beach, Florida. He then stayed on at St. Peter's as Assistant Rector in charge of Adult Christian Education. Chris was called as the Rector to Holy Communion in 2017.

After moving to Plaquemine in 1970, I started attending Holy Communion, and began playing the organ 20 years ago.  My husband Rodney Gascon and I truly enjoy our music ministry here and anywhere else the opportunity arises.

I was born in Paducah KY, where we attended Grace Episcopal, a large historic traditional church; and moved to Little Rock, AR, where we attended Good Shepherd Episcopal, a small modern church.

After 2 years at Centenary in Shreveport, I came to LSU in 1969 and graduated in Education (Bachelor’s, Master’s, +30, and Ed.S.)  I taught school for 39 years, and I still substitute.  We have a blended family of 5 children (four are married), 7 grandchildren (1 is married), and one great grandchild.

I am so blessed to have found Holy Communion as my church. The first time my mother and I attended back in February 2011 the parishioners were all so welcoming that I felt this is going to be my place of worship.

I grew up in Houston, TX and belonged to a small Episcopal church like Holy Communion so it was a perfect fit for me.  When I was in high school I visited relatives in Baton Rouge. My uncle drove me through the LSU campus and from that moment I knew this was where I wanted to go to college. I loved my time at LSU and embraced the south Louisiana culture.  I even met my husband, Greg at LSU. Greg is from Baton Rouge so we made it our home.

In 1982 I was appointed as a State Farm Agent in Port Allen. I have a daughter, Erin who is an agent  in my office and is married to Dwight.  My son Evan lives in New Orleans where he is a 2 year State Farm Agent and is married to Jordan.
